Honorable Agegnehu Teshager is the current Speaker of the House of Federation of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia. A prominent figure in Ethiopian politics, he is also a member of the Central and Executive Committee of the ruling Prosperity Party (PP).

His professional journey is marked by significant leadership roles. He served as the President of Amhara Regional State from November 2020 to October 2021, demonstrating his ability to govern at the highest regional level. Prior to that, he held the position of Bureau Head of Trade for the Amhara Regional State from April 2018 to November 2020, and was the Head of Amhara Leadership Academy from February 2014 to April 2018.

With a strong academic background, Teshager holds a Master's degree in Economics from Bahir Dar University, building upon his Bachelor's degree in the same field from the same institution.

Teshager’s extensive experience in both academia and governance positions him as a key player in Ethiopia’s political landscape.
