Salma Siddiqui is Vice-Chair of the Forum of Federations. An Ottawa-based accomplished entrepreneur, she owns a corporate travel agency and a real estate development business while remaining deeply involved in community and NGO work. She chairs the Coalition of Progressive Canadian Muslim Organizations (CPCMO), sits on the RCMP/CSIS Muslim Advisory Committee, and is a member of the Canadian Ethnocultural Council. She has also served as Vice-President of the Muslim Canadian Congress and Circle of Canadians.

Salma helped establish the CPCMO as a national think tank advocating separation of religion and politics, one law for all, and education against radicalization. Her community leadership has earned her numerous honours, including the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal (2013), recognition among Ottawa Life Magazine’s 50 Most Influential People (2011), and the YWCA Women of Distinction Award (2006). Finally, Salma spearheaded a fundraising campaign for The Ottawa Hospital’s Neuromuscular Centre of Excellence.
