Overview

The Honourable Randeep Singh Sarai, PC, MP, is a Canadian politician serving as the Secretary of State for International Development in Prime Minister Mark Carney's cabinet since May 13, 2025. A lawyer by training, Sarai practiced law in Surrey before entering federal politics in 2015. Throughout his career, he has been active in community leadership, founding organizations such as Virsa – Supporting Youth Strengthening Families Society and advocating for youth and multicultural initiatives.

Sarai has served on various parliamentary committees and held leadership roles within the Liberal Party, including chairing the Pacific Caucus and co-chairing the Canada-Singapore Parliamentary Friendship Group.
