Benoît Meyer-Bisch is Senior Policy Advisor/Focal Point for Governance, Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC). Lawyer by profession, Benoît has over 20 years of professional experience in international cooperation - mainly related to Governance and Human Rights - out of which 14 years on the field.
For SDC, in Afghanistan, Benin and Mongolia, as well as at SDC's headquarters in Switzerland for the Horn of Africa (Somalia, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Sudan) and in the Thematic Division. Before joining SDC, for a Swiss Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) in Brazil and Nepal.
In his current function, he is also the Swiss representative to the OECD-DAC GovNet, hence the Governance network composed of donor countries members of the Development Assistance Committee (DAC) of the OECD. Since 2025, Benoît chairs the GovNet, with Canada and Austria as vice-chairs.
